War in East Congo affects its civilians

Man the things I heard and read about the stuff going on in Congo makes me thankful for the life I have. The position Im in, the opportunities I have. All the chances I get. This inncident Makes bad times in my life look like im crying over just spilled milk. This was a crazy article. I was just sick reading it. The article was about a young girl about th age of 9. her family was murdered. The Hutu militia killed her parents and took her sisters who were only the ages of 6 and 12. They took them to the forest to make them their wives and rape them. Chance Tombola, the 9 year old orphan got away. Chance fled to her aunts house Jeanne Birengenya. The same militia men came to her aunts house. Five men raped her aunt. they kille dher uncle by mutilating his body part. Cutting him open and all his intestines falling out it was described very graphic and gory. One man also raped 9 year old Chance. Chance and Jeanne both recieved STD's. Now they are both outcast in their society. This sounds like something that would happen in a movie but its hard to believe this kind of thing is happening everyday and no one is doing anything. Its sad they have to live that life. This war is going on for too long and i think someone should do something about it. People are dying and being abused everyday all over a rivalry between Hutus and Tutsis and probably things that happened a long time ago.
