school laptop webcams in homes of students

Students got their privacy violated when the school laptops they take home recorded their every move. The laptop's webcams allowed Lower Merion school district to view students by remotley activating the cameras without being aware of it. This is a serious lawsuit as there is evidence or images of Harrington Highschool students and their families nude. Also in other uncomfortable situations. Parents found out about the webcams when the assistant principal ofthe school spoke to a student about bad behavior at home. The superintendent of the school still didnt respond to this. Wow what was the school thinking and what were their reasons for this act. It is unappropriate on their part. There is no need for them to know what goes on at home. That is private they dont gain anything from it and it violates human rights. HOme is where your safe, how would you feel if you didnt know people are watching you in your home. Then after you find out that you were being watched you feel even worse. I think the school should apologize on their behalf and stop the webcam game. Also delete all the images or get rid of them andgive it to the rightful owners. Unfortunatley they didnt. If the school is that bad that students need to be seen at home then close it down. I understand cameras in school but at home without notification that I cant tolerate. The tracking gps on the laptop is alright but this should be illegal.
