My 5 restaurant 5 night dream meal.

On day one I'm up for some traditional American seafood. I walked into Chadwick's and the place is nice. They have TVs with the game one and service going fast. I can smell the shrimp and salmon from my seat. As soon as I walked in with my family we were seated. I wanted to celebrate my Arista achievement. A waiter came to me and took my order. I ordered Chilled Maine Lobster Salad which contains lobster, corn relish tamale, mayonnaise and basil oil. As an entree I ordered jumbo shrimp and a lemon herbed grilled chicken sandwich. I end it all off with a cheesecake and a soft drink. Man what a meal I was satisfied a great night out with my family. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable. I felt there was so much privacy.
Day two I was hanging out with some friends and before we all headed home to watch the game we went to get some takeout. We didn't want Chinese so we tried a place known for their Hawaiian style. We walked into Hawaiian Island Grill and man that place was busy. They were cooking something because people lined up for their food like dominoes. Me and my friends wanted to get full so before we went to my place we ordered a whole lot of food on their menu from veggie and spring rolls to exotic soups. My main meal was the Hamburger Steak Honolulu Style with tender leaf ground beef along with special seasoning are formed into steak patties then flame broiled to perfection served with brown gravy and caramelized onions. It was great we enjoyed the Laker game, chilling and just relaxing the whole day.
My third day out I decided to try some Italian food and I'm not talking the corner pizzeria. Don't get me wrong I'm always down for a good slice of pizza but I wanted some real pasta with different spices, herbs, and sauces. I called my friends up and wanted to see if they wanted to go to the movies to catch Iron Man two. The movie was alright it was fairly entertaining, the action was the good story is kinda slow. The first one was better in my opinion. Anyway I already planned where we were going to eat and it was definitely Ballaro' in the city. An Italian restaurant that has great serviced great food and for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is very friendly, peaceful, and calm. That day was good the main thing attraction turned out to be the food. I ate a big meal and got what I want some real Italian food. I had fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and garlic. I also tried chicken Parmesan with baked zitti. Their meatball sandwich which my friend tried was awesome he gave me a piece and we tried one of their deserts called Apple Tart With Vanilla Gelato. It was creamy and scrumptious.
Its Day four and Its my mothers birthday. So me and my friends been out looking for what to buy her. On the way shopping I decided to get her a cake or some chocolate and I stopped by a restaurant. Its pretty unique its called Francois Chocolate bar. I think its a French owned store. They only sell decadent desserts. I'm a chocolate lover and I always like to try new cakes and other desserts to indulge myself. I brought my mom a chocolate financier and me and my friends tried some chocolate mousse. Before we left we wanted to see if their as good as Starbucks and they are better we grabbed some iced coffee, caramel mochiatas, and hot chocolate. to bring something home from my brother and just so I have something sweet at home I brought a Du Japonais. It looks and sounds mouthwatering with its layers of hazelnut dacquoise, milk chocolate mousse, yuzu citrus and milk chocolate. We went home and surprised my mom with all those sweet treats. She was real happy and So was I.
The last day, Day five I am going to go to the restaurant with my cousin and family. My cousin just travels a lot around the world because hes a flight attendant. my cousin comes once in a lifetime, I don't see him often so I wanted to treat him good. I wanted to take him somewhere nice with foods he is familiar with and something he likes. I went to an Afghan restaurant called the Afghan Kebab house. Its a family place with a lot of nice decorations. The place was clean and quiet. their kebabs are really their main attraction and we had a lot of it. We had Samosas in the beginning for appetizers. For entrees we tried all almost all their kebabs. Beef, chicken, shrimp, salmon, fish, and lamb. Later we spoke and caught up with each other. Made some jokes had some laughs and our main meals came Lamb korma and chicken Tikka with fried rice. Not only was the meat freshly cooked but their rice had great spices and flavor. Before we left me and my brother always get this if we come here because we go here often when there is family visiting or guest. SO we decided everyone gets a mango lassie. It was refreshing. We went home with our stomachs full. So there we have it. My five day line up each day with a bang. I wonder what I should try next.

My top 5 restaurants

What foods would I eat if I had all time in the world with unlimited funds? That's a good question. Well all I know is my choices will also be endless. I can have any type of food I want. Here are some of my restaurant choices. If I wanted to eat I could eat in any restaurant, anything and anywhere. The restaurant would have to have great food and great service. I'm talking five star. If I was up for some American seafood I would go to Chadwick's in Brooklyn 3rd ave. Its the best place to go the service is great and their meals are fresh. They are open almost everyday of the week with flexible hours. They specialize in seafood but also sell soups, steaks, pork chops, and dessert. The restaurant is kid friendly and they have live entertainment. Their restaurant is homey and sophisticated you can even close a dining room for your own private party. That's number one if I want to go close by and go for traditional American food. If I wanted to try something new. I would go to a Hawaiian restaurant. There one in 231 E 53rd street called Hawaiian island Grill. I wanted to try some tropical food from the Caribbean or how their styles are. The price is reasonable and the best part they serve big portions. They serve things like sandwiches and salads but in their style with new ingredients and spices. They also have sushi and different appetizers such as rolls but the main attractions are their lunch specials. I would like to try their Barbecue Ahi which is seven ounces of yellow fin tuna seasoned with call and pepper then grilled and finished with a wasabi colemans yellow mustard soy sauce sushi ginger accompanies the fish. Their sauces are one thing that people give really good feedback off. The only weird thing is that this is not a real restaurant, you cant eat in its takeout only. Number three on my list would be Ballaro', it is an Italian restaurant at 2nd ave in Manhattan. I love Italian food with all their different herbs and spices. Their sauces and unique dishes are wonderful and creative. I'm always up for a good slice of pizza but I also marinara sauce with pasta. Ballaro's specialty is mixing meets with different cheeses sauces and spices. They also have different beverages form their own creations to black, chamomile, green, fruit, and mint tea. They also have lattes, mochiatas, frappacinos and regular cold drinks. This is one restaurant I would check out. As for number 4 I wouldn't really be a restaurant for meals but a bakery. I love to try different desserts because I have a sweet tooth. There's a place called Francois chocolate bar. It locate ed at 714 Madison Ave 4th Fl, New York. I wouldn't go there if I'm hungry this is if I'm craving some chocolaty or dessert. Anyway this bakery has variety of every single Delicious item you can think of in chocolate. They also have non chocolate items. They have pastries, cakes, and drinks. So if you don't want something scrumptious you can slurp on a chocolate drink or coffee. I would try one of their Verrines called Du Japonais. It has layers of hazelnut dacquoise, milk chocolate mousse, yuzu citrus and milk chocolate. Just the sound of it make you want to try it but I actually know what it is. I heard their Chocolate financier is also good. Last on my list but not least coming at number 5 is Afghan Kebab House at 9th avenue in the city. I like to try different kinds of kebabs its great because they have shrimp, chicken, lamb ,fish, and tandoori kebab. They also have beef and lamb korma which is kind of like a stew with chunks of lamb, tenderly cooked with fresh onions, tomatoes, potatoes, green peppers, herbs and spices. Their steaks are something to try and vegetable and rice dishes. Afghan desserts are somewhat tasty too. Depends what you get and what your taste buds prefer but one thing that everyone likes is Mango Lassie which is a combination of milk yogurt and mango with ice. Its like a smoothie and it tastes great. Its refreshing I always look to get one if go. Any way those are my top 5 restaurants if i can have anything I want. I would try different foods almost every item on the menu and It would be from different cultures. If I could I would go to the nations as a trip to travel and eat how that origin of food tastes in the country itself. These are in New York so it will have to do. My choices are all five star restaurants that have great service. So check out some of these stores if you are heading to a restaurant any time soon. Its good to try new things you never know you might like it. Hope it helped

Restaurant Review: Sizzler

I know everybody must have been to Sizzler at one point but those who haven't you don't know what your missing. There are many Sizzler restaurants but the one I go to is in Forest Hills. Service was alright it wasn't great but good, its stand able. This is a medium sized store and fairly attractive. If your hungry and your up for some good food with a wide variety of items you should stop by here. It is not gourmet food or a five star restaurant but it beats going to McDonald's or any other greasy fast food. The meals they have are exceptionally good meals. It depends what your up for and what your taste is. They have items that are made form the grill such as grilled steaks that's their specialty. Sizzler also does seafood, chicken, ribs, sandwiches and burgers. They also have specials every week that help you out from making your pockets empty. They have good deals and they also have specific foods for kids so if you bring the family and your just not out with friends your kids can get something in their level too. Such as 6 oz steak or a 1/3 pound burger. The thing that attracted me and my friends the most when we went was the salad bar especially because we were hungry and wanted to eat until we were satisfied. Now I know what your thinking , Salad Bar? how can you get full with that but its a tricky name. Its a salad bar but the bar contains more than just salad. It is actually an all you can eat buffet for maybe $6-$9. At the bar they have everything you can think of such as salads, gourmet soups, hot appetizers, fresh taco bar, just picked fruit, and dessert. That's a lot of stuff to try and the salad is customizable they have so many ingredients to add that you can chose the different fruits or vegetables cheeses and dressings to top it over. You chose one drink and you get unlimited refills. They have different soups and appetizers. They underrate themselves. They have rice, macaroni & cheese, a variety of macaroni salad, chicken wings, fried baby shrimp, onion rings, pasta, meatball and spaghetti, and the items are endless. There are so many other possibilities but I just don't remember because I was too full to try them. Any way the best part is after all that food you want to indulge yourself. Everyone has a sweet tooth. Its great that the salad bar also has dessert. It has self soft serve ice cream machine where you can create your own sundae in a cup or on a cone. They had different things to top them with like cherry, sprinkles, nuts, chocolate syrup, chocolate chip. You get the point. Also if your not a fan of ice cream for those lactose intolerant people luckily they have more than one dessert. You can have jello, pudding and create your own fruit salad. My hunger was quenched after that huge meal and it was only a purchase of one item. I had fun that day and I was happy. So you should check it out if you want to have a good time. Its affordable, tasty, and satisfying. I give my Sizzler experience a 3 out of 5 its a good restaurant with good food and good service.

Chocolate Bouchons with Fresh Raspberry

The name says it all. This small bite size dessert features rich chocolate cake shaped in a cork filled with bits of melted chocolate. On top of that it has drizzles of raspberry syrup and fresh raspberries. The name Bouchon is French and the name comes form the shape of a cork. Cork means Bouchon in French. It was inspired by Thomas Keller's Bouchon bakery. The best part about it is its not that hard to make if you have all the supplies. Its fast too it only takes 20-22 minutes to cook and 10 minutes to prepare. That's a total 30-32 minutes, not bad huh. It also serves up to 16 people. The ingredients you need in order to make these delicacies are 1 box of cake mix, 2 cups of mini chocolate chips, a pint of fresh raspberries and a jar of raspberry jam. To prepare follow the instructions below. Any way I didnt try this but it looks prettty good and I did try something that looks similar with fruit and It tasted pretty good. I would like to have this for dessert, I like trying new things and this looks pretty attractive. Enjoy hope I helped out with all you chocaholics, we all need a little indulgence at times.

Preparation
1.Preheat oven to 350°F.

2.Spray muffin pan or bouchon baking mold with cooking spray.

3.Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Add 2 cups mini chocolate chips to the batter.

4.Portion batter 2/3 full into a 2″ x 1″ deep muffin pan or bouchon baking molds.

5.Bake for 20-25 minutes. Test with a wood skewer or toothpick - it should come out clean but not dry.

Miss USA Rima fakih

So this year's miss USA winner is Rima fakih. She is the first Arab American to win the beauty pageant and thats a big step for them. As a lebanese female and a muslim she has worked her way up to a model. A very hard professional career to make especially after the 9/11 and other terror attacks. Many people speculate about Muslims and Arabians how they are somehow connected to terrorism and this prejudice leads to hardships for Arabs. Now this theory is starting to be proven because Rima also won the pole dancing contest in 2007. This is ridiculous get off her back she just won the pageant and now they are already doing background checks. The past is the past and I dont think it was all that bad she wasnt naked she was just provocatively dancing on a pole. Probably having some fun or trying to win the contest because thats what shes good at. I mean now that she is a model she will probably have to show even more skin and take more seductive pictures. Im sure past models have done their fare share mistakes or maybe even worse. People are making a big deal out of this because of her race and religion. Hey when your that good at something or you make it and do it big, people underestimate you and feel stupid when you prove them wrong. I like Miss Fakih's attitude toward her opposers I agree just brush those haters off. She represents her ethnicity big time and is confident, she is not embarrassed to sticking with her family. I guess people will always be judging you but at the end you just gotta live your life. One thing she achieved is that nn a way she has changed the view of Arabs and gave a positive image. She has showed that not only Arabs are beautiful and good looking but they are good people at heart too. They love the country they live in and they want to be part of Americas melting pot. So many racial barriers have been broken that made a statement this year such as President Obamas win at the election. That will be in the textbooks but this is going down in the history of beauty pageants.

American Idol top 3 finalist

American Idol is now getting more and more intense. It has come down to only 3 contestants. They are Lee Dewyze, Casey James, and Crytal Bowersox. Last week it was Aaron Kelly and yesterday it was Michael Lynche that has left. He was a good singer i think he will be very successful even tough he didn't make it. He could sing and lets face it if your just in the top 10 in American idol you will get signed by someone or hit fame. Maybe not from J records but eventually you will get noticed. Look at Chris Daughtry for example and how successful he is. My predictions for Idol is between Crytal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze. They both have talent in their own styles. Lee is a rockstar type singer but he can also do R&B. Crytal is just all out R&B. Casey James looks alternative, country and rock. My best bet is Lee Dewyze he is unique and a fan favorite. Crytal will go far too because she can hit high notes. Its a hard one but well see what happens in the future.

Elena Kagans Supreme Court nomination

I found two similar editorials on the same topic. Its on the same topic which is President Obamas possible candidate for a Supreme Court Justice. One article is from Fox News which is titled Why Ultra-Liberal Obama Needs Kagan on the Court.. The other one is from the New York post and is titled The Kagan Nomination. Even though the topic of the editorial is the same and there are many similarities. There are many differences as well. For example the following.

Five Differences

-The editor from NY Post thinks Kagan is a good candidate for the Supreme Court Justice but its too soon to say. While the editor form Fox news thinks shes a good candidate for President Obama because she is a liberal and he can use that to his advantage.

-The one from NY post give a positive feel to the article and gives the facts as if agreeing with the choice and the one from Fox News is sort of neutral but still gives and opinion that its just good for Obama's benefit and a great candidate but not for the country.

- The details provided is also different. NY Post editor tells us facts of what she did and did not do in the past. Such as how she participated in government and the courtroom. Fox News gives us a background of Kagans experience. The editor talks about what school she graduated from and what her relationship is with Obama. Turns out they are good friends.

-The New York Post editor talks about the viewpoints of Kagan if she is for gay marriage and capital punishment. The editor also talks about why the Senate shouldn't rush and also judge Kagan on privacy rights, race or gender discrimination, and free speech. The Fox News editorial speaks about how she has liberal viewpoints and how she is a good candidate based on her health and age.

- Lastly, Well it is true one article is longer than the other lol na jk there are a lot more but that's all for now.

Oil spill proves it's Obama who is all hat and no cattle

Dear Fox News editor, I have read your article on the oil spill 40 miles off the coast of the Mississippi due to an explosion on an oil rig owned by BP. Yes you are right that this is a problem but you are wrong for judging the President too quickly. This is a rough cased to deal with especially because president Obama also had to deal with the Time Square bombing. Obama is a busy man I don't blame him for making an attempt to act 9 days after the explosion. He probably thought BP can handle it for now and that he will get to it as soon as possible. At least he took care of it that and did something that shows responsibility. Opposed to president Bush and the Hurricane Katrina incident or even during 9/11. President Bush was visiting a school during the attack. When he was informed quietly by secret service that the country is under attack he simply sat there nodding his head and then continued reading the book with the children. He was in total shock and fear You have to try and see the other side of the story. You really don't know what someone goes through until you take a walk in their shoes. You said the President is a man of thought and not action but he puts his thoughts to action. SO far what about the health reform and closing of Guantanamo bay? The president lived up to his word and I'm pretty sure those thoughts helped him do that. At least he thinks unlike a former president we had, he couldn't think, act, or even speak. Why is Fox News always finding a way to charge the president with something.Especially President Obama who is a Democrat. I never saw this kind of action with President Bush. Why do you want him to fail, does the case of race have anything to do with it, is it something personal or just political differences. I know one thing this president has the potential to be very successful and prove every one wrong. So just give him a break he just came to office. Have some patience

Couldn't they just tag him?

Dear New York Times editor, I have read your editorial and I agree with your views on the baseball game tasing inncident. A Phillies fan ran out on the field during a game and he was tased by the cops. Yes the 17 year old kid, Steve Consalvi shouldn't have ran on the field. He had no right to and was wrong for doing it but why lead to tasing, Should he get punished? Yes, but not that way. I understand the other side of the story where players need protection from fans because there are a lot of crazy people out there that are possible threats. Think about it though what sort of threat could he have been. He didnt look like a threat just an ordinary kid who wanted to do something extreme to have fun or to live up to a bet, besides he was out numbered where can he have gone. Probably disrupted the game but there are other things you can do before you take extreme measures. You can chase him, tackle him, then arrest him or ban him from the stadium. Tasing has the potential to kill someone if used at the right voltage. So it shouldnt have been the officers first option. You only tase when its an emergency and if your in danger because of a threat. This did not look like any emergency or a extreme threat. Only a frustrated officer who wanted to get things done quickly because of a wild fan. Think about it what if this kid was seriously injured or hurt. What would his parents think or feel. The police officer is not at fault here. He was just doing his job trying to act quick. I'm just saying he could have taken care of the matter by making better choices based on the scenario.

A firing squad for Faisal

Dear New York post editor, I have read your article and It seems you are not happy with the way government is treating terrorism. You are right they do have a lot of mistakes but one thing that disturbs me is that you seem to put out a bad image for all Muslims around the World. Well I beg to differ and think that is absurd. Did anyone ever stop to ever think about why terrorism is going on. Why these so called "Islamic" countries are trying to attack the U.S. What could they possibly want, power? No these are third world countries they don't have that scope to think or even try to conquer a bigger and better nation. They are weak in numbers militarily and they don't have the money to supply weapons. The best choice of word is revenge, can you think of any other reason why they would want to hurt us or attack. Obviously we done something to get them mad. In their eyes we are the terrorist. Did you sir ever try to get that sort of thinking or process into that thick nationalist skull of yours. I'm not saying that the people that resort to terrorism are right for doing it but maybe we are the ones that drove them there is all I'm pointing out. Did you know that terrorism is against Islam itself. Islam is about peace. Terrorist misuse, misguide, and disgrace the religion. Any way back to the topic. U.S isn't all that great you know. ITs called google check it out and do your research next time. America has been bombing other countries, conquering, going to war, and using imperialism to "help"other countries for years to come. Yea right in other words "help" meaning for America's own benefit. We have tried to be the police of the world and used that power in many twisted or mislead ways at times. This is reality and what High school textbooks leave out. How do you think they became a superpower and is as successful as they are now. Furthermore you have got to be kidding me with the firing squad. Do we even know for sure Faisal Shahzad did this. Yea kill him fine and what does that achieve we become just like them. Also what good is it to start controlling our immigration. That's racial discrimination and against the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th amendment in the Constitution. That's just like blaming any other race based on past or present disasters/attacks. That's pathetic that you would single out all Muslims because of fear and anger. Even Muslims in America fear of the terrorist attack that are spontaneous. They don't know when it will strike they are just like the rest of us. Not everyone is a radical Islam. Leave it to human beings to panic and start pointing fingers at each other when something goes wrong. We have to realize that terrorism is drifting us apart and we still have to respect each other and cooperate so we can work together. Whatever happened to United we stand ?

End Homeland insecurity

Dear Daily News Editor, I am with you all the way with this issue. There are two things I agree with. One is that we are too clueless about our enemy. For example, look at the 9/11 incident and the Iraqi war. During 9/11 we had no idea who did it, it hit us as a total shock. We blamed Osama Bin Laden, and we don't know if he really did it but well take the governments word for it. We blamed Saddam for WMD's and he ended up having none. We went to war with Afghanistan first to defeat Al'quada which is Osama's army. Then we went to Iraq and now we don't know who we are fighting because everyone looks like civilians. Its a guerrilla warfare or insurgency. If we want a safe environment we should be on the crime and the perpetrator right away. We shouldn't even let them get the opportunity to strike. Its easier said than done but that brings up my second topic. If we work hard enough we can achieve to fight against terrorism. In order to do that, we must have dedicated and effective workers who know what they are doing. For example,Homeland Security. Secretary Janet Napolitano is not doing a good job on the Time Square bombing case. Its as she is slacking and very far behind the game. She should of know what was going on and who was planning it. She also described the contents of the SUV as amateurish bomb technique. Not making a big deal out of it when if it did go off correctly it would have killed many people. Napolitano didn't know about Faisal Shahzad and that he got through airport security and was already boarded on a plane headed to Pakistan. Janet Napolitano misread everything and of all people,SHE should have been aware of a rising threat. I'm not trying to be harsh, people do make mistakes but I'm just saying that she should start taking things more serious and work more harder. Become more tough and precise so she can make an effective effort in fighting terrorism. If she cant handle that then we need to find someone who can.

Cheap Cameras are Useless,Focus on terror and a new RIng of Steel camera system

Dear Daily News Editor, You are exactly right and you make a good point. I agree with you, we do need some changes to be more cautious and have more protection. New York City is huge and people are moving fast everyday because they are busy. As they say time is money and we dont always have time to spot the little things that lead to big crimes. For example the recent Time Square bombing, What did the cameras do? We dont even know if the man we accused is the same man identified on the camera. The cameras we have in NYC are useless. Whats the point of putting low budget cameras that give blurry images, the whole reason for putting them up is security and if it doesn't give us that then its pointless. You can get better cameras with high quality images that are affordable by the common man. I think we can all agree that even we can get better cameras than the one the City puts up. Maybe it will be a little more than the standard ones we have now but I dont think money should be a factor when there are lives at stake. These cameras can make a big difference, we should get them up and running. We can't use any real evidence with the video image we have of the suspect. It could have been anybody in that video. It just showed a man changing his clothes in Times Square. What crime can we charge him for but just a reasonable suspicion. Also the picture we found of him and his family members in Times Square is also irrelevant. Who doesnt go to the City to hangout. Everybody does, its just a family night out. Where did we get this guy from, Faisal Shazad. Did we just pull a name out from a hat? its just wierd it looks as if this was plotted we should have know about the car way before and maybe we would have if security was on point and if our cameras helped us out which it didnt. I think theres more to this story that meets the eye. The government needs to step their game up if they really want to fight terrorism. They shouldnt have even let this attempt be an attmept or have a chance of happening. Im glad they acted quick and no one got hurt but its very disturbing that they didnt have a clue. Get to it and rise security quickly because people are starting to feel unsafe. Whether its research, cameras, or more police officers.
